Bad blogger... Look a painting!

I'm sorry... I have been busy.


Ok UPDATE! 


I have started painting in my art classes and I'm LOVING it! So much fun and adventure using colour now. I mean, pencil sketches are fun ... but this is a whole new level.


Now... I feel like I can draw pretty well. I am NOT a very good painter. BUT I know that everyone starts somewhere and with the amazing teacher I have I'll get there (I'm actually already seeing myself getting catching on faster each class) 


So for your viewing pleasure ... My first painting!

Wedding Dress & Stress

When you get engaged - there should be a little tag attached to your ring. It should read the following: 

People are going to ask you for every detail

of your wedding in approximately 

47 seconds. 

Have fun with that ;-) 

 I found myself in a bit of a panic with all the aspects of planning a wedding - there is SO much to think about and decide. I have to figure out what I want (well P too, but he mostly just nods at anything that makes me smile and scowls at anything I turn my nose up at) 

Ta-Da moment 

Anything I saw in a wedding magazine (ones I purchased, I don't just snatch them out of strangers hands or anything) I would either put a little post it note label on the page or actually rip the page out. Then I went to a binder that is full of page protectors, and I slide the ripped paper into the protector - and I use the label to write what it is I like about the page (otherwise I come back the next day and wonder what the crap I even liked about it)

Stress level decreased!

Also - ordering my wedding dress tomorrow. Its starting to get real! 

I can be crafty too!

Time off work while feeling ill = So BoReD!!!

I have been looking for things to do while I'm home. Yay for Pinterest. But I actually had a craft that a friend of mine did in high school and I always wanted to do too.... just never found the time (so, I've been busy since birth I think) 


Pens are a must in my life, I have to write EVERYTHING down. If its not written in my agenda then it doesn't exist. I used to put everything into my BlackBerry but then I have to actually LOOK at that application on my BlackBerry which is usually at the bottom of my massive bag and by the time I fish it out I have missed what I was supposed to do. For some reason the action of physically WRITING something down makes it stick in my brain better.


Anyways, I hate ugly pens. I have always hidden my pens in a drawer or behind stuff,  and then... I can't find them right when I need them.

Step 1 - Buy ugly pens and CUTE flowers (DollarStore has tons of bunches)

 

Step 2 - Cut a single flower off the bunch, tape the "stem" down the side of the Ugly Pen
I used green tape cause I had it left over but masking tape or anything works

Step 3: Cover from the top of the Ugly Pen over the taped part with Floral Tape
(Also found at the dollar store) also sometimes called Stem Wrap
Just wrap it around tight at a bit of an angle down the pen. 

Step 4: Continue until all your Ugly Pens are covered

Ta-Da!! Pretty pens!
